Good lighting is an important factor for well-being at home, at work and during leisure time. Lighting is also an often underestimated cost-factor - for example, in office buildings lighting can account for as much as 50 % of the electricity consumption, with efficiency potentials of up to 80 %.

In response to environmental challenges and increased demands on light quality and function, significant technology and product innovation happened over the last years - new generations of lamps, luminaires and control systems - which is now ready to be introduced into the markets with the growing interest in energy-efficient solutions.

The conference will focus on good and energy-efficient lighting technologies and solutions for the domestic, the business and the public sectors. It will present innovative technologies, the legal and political framework, financing solutions and showcase best practice examples.
