Electricity consumption is rising all over Europe, in some areas and countries with alarming speed. At the same time, electricity prices are increasing, creating economic burdens on private consumers, businesses and institutions. The conference will deal with efficient use of electricity in homes, in business and in industry. It will cover technological innovation, best practice examples, the regulatory framework provided by the European Eco-Design Directive, the "Energy Efficiency and Energy Services" Directive and other policy initiatives around the world as well as promotion strategies and programmes, including awareness raising and training. This event is organised in the frame of IEE-Projects "El-eff regions".
