Arriving by train from Linz

 

Step 1: From Linz to Wels main station

(distance Linz - Wels: approx. 25 km)
There is a good and fast train service to the Wels main station every 15 minutes.
It takes about 20 minutes, one-way ticket 2nd class ~ 7 Euro

Please note that there are 2 different train companies operating trains on this route:

  • ÖBB (buy the ticket before you enter the train)
  • Westbahn (buy the ticket online or on the train)

Step 2: From Wels Hauptbahnhof (Wels main station) to conference venue (Stadthalle)

  • ÖBB train connection from Wels Hauptbahnhof to Wels Messe Bahnhof (about 5 minutes, ~ 2,60 Euro) or
  • you can walk (about 30 minutes) or
  • take a taxi or
  • use the train shuttle (during the trade show days only)

Arriving by train from Vienna

 

Step 1: From Vienna to Wels main station

Please note that there are 2 different train companies operating trains on this route:

  • ÖBB (from Wien Hauptbahnhof to Wels main station every hour)
    buy the ticket before you enter the train
    one-way ticket 2nd class ~ 45 Euro
    It takes about 1 hrs 50 min
  • Westbahn
    buy the ticket online or on the train
    one-way ticket 2nd class ~ 45 Euro
    • from Wien Westbahnhof to Wels main station every hour
      It takes about 1hrs 30 min

Arriving by train from Salzburg

 

Step 1: From Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main station) to Wels main station

It takes about 1-2 hr to get to Wels, one-way ticket 2nd class ~ 25 Euro

Step 1: From München Hauptbahnhof (Munich main station) to Wels main station

You may need to change trains at Salzburg Hauptbahnhof.
In total, it takes about 2,5 - 3 hrs to get to Wels, one-way ticket 2nd class ~ 70 - 80 Euro.
